Powering Women and Youth in Energy:REC24

#REC24 at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Aidah Ssemakula, Director Consulting Belli Advisory, expertly chaired the session on "Financing Women and Youth Energy Entrepreneurs and Innovators." The conversation brought forward essential insights on fostering an inclusive, sustainable energy ecosystem.
Catherine Nsungwa from Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) highlighted the importance of partnerships like
#IMEU & GROW to unlock opportunities for women and youth in the energy space.
Adding to this, Eva Mpalampa from Stanbic Bank Uganda Bank, Oil and Gas Business Banking, shared how Stanbic Bank is actively tailoring its credit offerings to clean energy and gender-centric projects, noting that this support is customized on a case-by-case basis to align with the bank’s risk appetite.
Peninnah Mbabazi from SEATINI UGANDA emphasized the need for strengthened collaboration across organizations and platforms like
#REC24 to bridge the gap between funders and green energy providers, as well as address the real challenges of accessing funding.
